自由电子器件的研制 (Free-electron terahertz device)
基于新型的快波或慢波互作用区的高功率太赫兹器件,例如回旋管。它以高能量的电子束作为工作媒介,在外磁场引导并满足一定的谐振条件下,电子束在某个相空间得到群聚,将其能力转化为太赫兹波的能量成为相干辐射源。这些器件的工作频率与器件相互作用区的尺寸有关,具有高功率、高频率的优点。
We are developing the high-power terahertz devices mainly gyrotron based on the novel fast or slow wave interaction with the high-energy electron beam. Under the resonance conditions and guided by an external magnetic field, the electron beam will be bunched in the phase space, i.e., the azimuthal direction in the fast-wave devices and the axial direction in the slow-wave devices. The electron beam energy will be transferred to the electromagnetic wave in the interaction region to generate coherent radiation. The operating frequencies of the free-electron terahertz devices depend on the size of the interaction circuit, they have the advantages of high-power capability at high frequency.
